Usually, you have a choice. It's your choice.
We’re staying in a hotel at the moment and it’s the same hotel as last year (my son is in the same camp nearby as he was last year). I know where everything is: the restaurant, the neighboring villages, the best beach, etc. For some, that’s reassuring comforting to know. Even peaceful. One less thing they have to worry about.
But I miss the thrill of not knowing what’s coming, where are we going to stay? What’s the place going to be like? Even if you look at the photos and read the description, you’re still entering someone else’s home–a home that’s “yours” for a while. It’s fun. It’s a bit like dating online and then finally meeting the person.
